Authentic Wood Fired Pizza in the Heart of Petersham
real pizza with a real story
Here at Public House Petersham, we’re serious about a few things: craft beer, killer events, NBA & the Swannies. We’re also serious about our pizza menu, and understand the importance of a wood fired oven to give an authentic Italian pizza experience. If you’re from the Inner West area and have found yourself asking ‘where’s the best pizza place near me,’ well we’ve got a suggestion for you!
The pizzas at Public House are made with authenticity, prepared with experience and served with love. Gourmet pizzas aren’t restricted to fancy places in the CBD, they’re served around the corner from you right here in our Beer Garden.
What’s on the menu?
PHP offers you more than the standard offering of Supreme Pizza, Hawaiian Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza and so on. Our pizza menu offers delicious & authentic Italian style pizza that taste as good as they look. Our Famous Original is our take on the Margarita Pizza, our Master Blaster is our unique offer for the Meat Lovers & our Vegan Pizza speaks for itself.
Our pizza bases are 100% house made and risen over 48 hours, and our vegan pizza is topped with house made soy ricotta. You can taste the experience and knowledge that our Pizza Chef Manu puts in to every slice.
If you’re a bargain hunter, be sure to stop in on Thursdays for PHPizza Night when ALL our pizzas are just $15!

meet the chef
Meet our Pizza Chef - Manu Piano. A third generation pizza chef from Italy, Manu has been in Australia for 5 years and has been wowing Aussies with his incredible pizzas ever since.
Manu learned the art of pizza-making in his home in Sardinia, Italy. His teacher was none other than his mother. From there he read books, listened to other pizza chefs and experimented with flavours, changed the consistency of the dough, dabbled with stone mill flour and everything in between until he had found his signature style that he creates today.
If you’re ever in on a Friday night, you can pull up a chair next to the pizza kitchen and watch Manu work his magic - he truly is a Pizza Wizard!
